How to Stop Tossing and Turning and Get a Good Night’s Sleep

Tossing and turning in bed when all you really want to do is sleep. Does that sound familiar?

Have you ever snuggled into bed expecting to fall asleep only to realize you are in your head? You lie there tossing and turning but the magical process of fading fast into slumber doesn’t happen. There you are feeling stuck. The later it gets as you lie awake the more stressed you become. You fear that tomorrow you’ll have to drag yourself through the day.

Have you had this happen to you? I don’t like when I can’t fall asleep. I have used Ayurvedic oil on the bottom of my feet and also taken magnesium/calcium supplements to help me sleep. I’ve even gotten up in the middle of the night and had a warm cup of milk.

All of these have helped though I think I found the golden trick for slumber aides that could be used in addition to any of the previously mentioned items. For me it works like a charm and I get spiritually enlightened at the same time!

I love Eckhart Tolle! I used to call him my boyfriend when I was single. His teachings about human consciousness and being in the present moment deeply sooth my soul.

No More Tossing and Turning…
Just Calming Words

Years ago, when youtube was not popular, I listened to his CD “Flowering of Human Consciousness.” For me, that one was the best. His words, his presence, his calm and enlightened nature always brought me to a better place. I am so thankful that Eckhart Tolle is in my life.

Recently I found another way that I can take advantage of his teachings. Though, oil on the bottom of my feet, magnesium/calcium supplements and even warm milk are great sleep remedies, when I can’t sleep my new go to is pulling up Eckhart Tolle on youtube.

He calms me right down. I face my laptop away from me so that the screens bright light is not glaring in my face. I use an eye pillow also to bring me inside myself. Then I listen to Eckhart… immediately I go from lying there tossing and turning to the beginning of calm.

His words are like an energetic massage that has me feeling warm and safe. With his words, all of a sudden it makes perfect sense that there is absolutely nothing to worry about. Before you know it I am off to slumber land. Not because Eckhart is boring… he is brilliant. He is filled with divine love and wisdom and transmits that to me as I fall asleep. What a great way to fall asleep! It has worked every time.

Give it a try. Either check him out on Youtube or order one of his audios. Have it on your phone so that you don’t have to pull up Youtube.

Let Eckhart fill your subconscious mind with how to be more present in your life. Let him remind you of the power of now!

I LOVE Eckhart Tolle, too! And completely agree that listening to dharma while trying to fall asleep is the best remedy for insomnia. My favorite Tolle book is The Power of Now. It is said that even when asleep, we can absorb the dharma and bring it into our subconscious to manifest in our waking moments. Thanks Anna Thea!
