The Cards of Destiny is a unique and powerful divination system based on a blend of astrology and numerology, used to gain insights into your life path, purpose, and relationships. The system, also known as the Destiny Cards or The Love Cards, revolves around the deck of 52 playing cards, each of which symbolizes specific energies, challenges, and opportunities that individuals will encounter throughout their lives.
In the Cards of Destiny system, each person is born with a specific card or cards, based on their date of birth. Most everyone has two cards, their birth card and their planetary ruling card. The exceptions are Leo and Scorpio. Leo has one card, and Scorpio has three! Maybe this is because Leo is such a singular solar energy whereas Scorpio is a more multi-faceted complex energy.
The card or cards you were born with, based on your birthdate, represent your life’s theme or primary lesson. Your card or cards provide foundational influences throughout your life. You take the energy of these cards with you. If you have a secondary card/s (planetary ruling cards) is provides further insight into aspects of your personality, relationships, and karmic lessons.
For example, I am a Queen of Hearts and an 8 of Diamonds. The Queen of Hearts is the Queen of love, romance and sensuality. The 8 of Diamonds is called the Sunshine card and 8 holds the energy of power. I feel I have embodied the energy of both of these cards.
The 52 playing cards used in this system have corresponding meanings related to the Major Arcana in tarot, with each card reflecting specific traits, situations, and energies. The Cards of Destiny also feature card combinations, which help to interpret how different cards interact and influence each other in an individual’s life.
Every year, you have a specific Year Card or Long Range Card, which signifies the overarching theme or major focus of that particular year in your life.
