Love Doesn’t Need Love
It is easy to be loving and open when everything is going your way, but not so easy when you face difficulties in life. It’s the more challenging, “negative” or even “darker” situations that do need your love.
Your overall health and vitality benefit when you can consciously harness the power of your heart instead of staying in “story” (victim energy) and using only the power of your mind.
It begins by learning how to love yourself more. Especially when you find yourself stressed out or are experiencing relationship challenges. This is where the rubber meets the road. Love and intimacy develop when you let your heart lead you from darkness to light, from fear through to love.
Learn to Love Yourself More
Don’t fall back to the old sabotaging patterns.
It takes practice to learn this new way of “being” and to incorporate it consistently in your life. It’s similar to learning a foreign language.
Life will give you plenty of opportunities to fall prey to getting stuck in your head and losing sight of your power to love. You’ll become critical and pessimistic. You’ll see the glass as half empty instead of half full. The mind creates this negative way of living. Life becomes empty. Life becomes hard. You’ve let our head – not our heart – take the lead.
Conflict with others becomes a mental battle of who is “right” and who is “wrong.” Such conflict leads to a downward spiral that is hard to recover from. It makes your heart ache, your body contract, and your relationships miserable. It disempowers you.
Love yourself more and you’ll have more love to give to others!
When you love yourself more it’s not selfish. It’s really being self-aware. And that’s a powerful way to live.
Were you taught the art of self-love? Most of us weren’t. We didn’t have the role models to show us how to cultivate good communication, honoring our bodies, healthy boundaries and taking care of our sexuality.
